like you said , is up to ggg to decide if a canelo fight is worth or not, i have yet to hear tom loeffler complain about the offer but then people like you and the rest of the golovkids are calling the offer unfair, and many here demanding a 40% instead of demanding ggg to take the offer and get the deal closed, stop worrying about gigis money, you guys deserve something good for once....

And instead of the standard 75/25 split in favor of the defending champion, in this case, it was set at 55/45 because of Golovkin’s standing as the WBC interim champion (a distinction he earned by walloping Marco Antonio Rubio back in Oct. of 2014).

And right here may have been the biggest problem.

While De La Hoya had stated that perhaps a 90-10 split would be offered to Golovkin beforehand – which was nothing more than posturing on his end – there was no way Alvarez going to agree to that WBC-mandated financial split."

So there u have it, they didn't want to accept the split mandated by WBC cause they want to get all the money and give out change. Now u tell me if 70-30 is not within reason. Fair is fair dude. Like Gennady said, Canelo is a selfish, greedy bastard.
$15,000,000 isn't change! That's "Life Changing Money". Also I'm pretty sure $15,000,000 probably will be even more that 30% once the networks take their 50% right off the bat.

If Chavez/Canelo does 700K PPV buys and GGG/Jacobs does 300K then I agree.

Honestly they should of just offered the same deal they offered Chavez to GGG. $6,000,000 plus %. I bet you $$$$ That won't be over $15,000,000???

My mistake! I was using my phone and didn't see your avatar. Some reason I thought you were someone else. You usually always are on point and don't get emotional when it comes to boxing.

Still pushing that debunked talking point. What a loser lol. That's a flat fee much much smaller than 15m, remember imbecile ?

BTW you are reading the wrong rules. The up to date ones are here.

you trolls are all missing the point. It wouldnt make a dimes worth of difference if the split was 55-45, 70-30, or 90-10. That fight was NEVER going to get made via a purse bid, and everybody knew that.

Bottom line was if Canelo didnt like WHATEVER split was potentially at play in a purse bid, all he had to do was MAKE AN OFFER.

Hint: that never happened. No negotiations. No offer. No nothing. Just Canelo bending over and saying "here's my belt papi"

Its funny to see Golovkin haters do all kind of mental gymnastics to justify Alvarez giving up his title rather than fight. Imagine any other fighter doing it, they'd be all over him like white on rice. lol

This guy skipped promoters to duck you yet you respect him more ? Lmao, yeh sure. You mean Canelo won't cut you in 50/50 you're bottom is twitching you may very well never make more than the 15m between your team as their is very real possibility the next offer and cut won't make surpass 15m with the dwindling interest in boxing and influx of ******ing ppv's.

Must hurt being Golden Goose Gennay right now, still he'll have his Brook ppv money to live off, life can't be too bad.
