Division of Proceeds in a Purse Offer. The net purse offer (after deduction of all sanction
fees payable to the WBC hereunder) shall be divided as follows:
(a) first, 10% of the total shall be set aside as a bonus for the winner of the contest,
then, of the remainder,
(b) 70% of the remaining 90% shall be for the champion and 30% of the remaining
90% shall be for the challenger in title bouts; and
(c) 50% of the remaining 90% to each contender in the case of vacant titles or
elimination bouts;
provided, however, that the WBC Board of Governors, may by a majority vote, authorize a
modification of the division of purse offer proceeds between boxers in a purse offer in unusual or special cases, such as consideration of outstanding marketing value of one of the
boxers, as the WBC shall determine in its sole discretion. The modification of the split of the remainder shall be limited to 60-40% and 55-45%, except in the most exceptional
circumstances, in which the split may be modified to 50-50%.

you trolls are all missing the point. It wouldnt make a dimes worth of difference if the split was 55-45, 70-30, or 90-10. That fight was NEVER going to get made via a purse bid, and everybody knew that.

Bottom line was if Canelo didnt like WHATEVER split was potentially at play in a purse bid, all he had to do was MAKE AN OFFER.

Hint: that never happened. No negotiations. No offer. No nothing. Just Canelo bending over and saying "here's my belt papi"

Honestly I don't know wtf is wrong with 15 million dollars, some of the biggest fights over the last decade have yielded MUCH more popular fighters less.

Hatton made 12 million total vs Floyd
Canelo made 12 TWELVE million ( LESS than triple d1ck is being offered)
Cotto made 8 million, mosley 6.7 million, even Marquez only got 3.8 vs Floyd

All of these fights I bring up because in several cases it was their biggest fight up to that point in their carrer. Hell, even Cotto vs Alvarez was 75/25, that's only 5 million for canelo...how much after the PPV idk...but to take 25% was canelo knowing his place in the popularity ranks at the time.

Bottom line...golovkin needs to accept he's really a NOBODY...he's fought NOBODIES, yet he THINKS he's worth a lot more than he is. If cotto canelo did 900k...do people believe that a fight with gaylovekin would do more?
