            he can't just retire from the UFC and then fight in boxing. He has a champion's clause in his contract and he's the LW champion. He can't fight for anyone else.

The franchise has just been sold for billions and there is nothing surer than how watertight, airtight and rock solid as the terms of the agreement McGregor signed up to. The UFC own that guy, certainly for the time being. And if he retired tomorrow he'd not be allowed to make money fighting any time soon.
                    What McGregor was really out to get was a chunk of shares in the UFC, that's what I believe anyway.

                      For some reason I think the fight is going to happen. This Sept. or next May 2018.
