    Let go Thurman tho
People dont hate Garcia because of that. Garcia is hated because:

    1) His father. The dude is garbage.
    2) When he isn't fighting the Salkas of the world, he is receiving a gift decision.

I don't think Garcia can count Khan or Matthysse as better opponents seeing how both their careers turned out. You could also make the argument that Peterson won their fight or at least warranted a draw. I favor Garcia simply because I believe if the fight is close they'll give it to him. They'll both hurt each other at some point in the fight but I'll be shocked if there's a stoppage.

That's what I'm thinking too.... also shaking my head with guys that are agreeing with Garcia on this.

Well then should you win Danny don't expect any props from fans or media. You know since you're fighting a guy who isn't even on the level of past opponents

Thurman looks chubby in the face..i really do think that long layoff and him losing a lot of weight to make it to 147 will affect him,

You could say the same about Thurman too if his career ends up going like Khan's and Matthysse. But you could also say that Garcia pretty much ruined their careers. Take a look at the guys Floyd fought, they were pretty much at the top of their careers and after they lost to Floyd, their careers went down hill. It happens to a lot of fighters, they never recover after a loss

Don't care about the headline but this quote:

“My honest assessment is he’s a built-up champion,” Danny Garcia said.

Wtf, Thurman worked his way into a mandatory position and had dangerous fights for little reward like Diego Chaves on the way up.

I understand Danny did well at 140 but at 147 he won a vacant belt and STRUGGLED against someone Keith beat a year earlier.

Danny has more to prove at 147 than Keith does.

I reckon there would still be question marks over someone like Spence if he was going into the Brook fight 21-0 with his best wins being 2016 Guerrero and retired Paulie.

Thurman is the best all around opponent Garcia has faced but Garcia has faced opponents that do certain things better than Thurman. Khan was faster, mathysse was arguably a more devastating puncher, Herrera a better skilled boxer, and Peterson was a better conditioned /pressure fighter than Thurman. So overall, Garcia is going to have to put on the best performance of his career to win this fight.

The General Consensus is that while He lost too Herrera, Peterson fought like a ****** for 8 rounds before turning it on for the final 4 or 5.... you don't win fights by only throwing 35(and landing 15)punches in 6 rounds.

So the 4th-5th best opponent will be the one to beat you. That's sad. That would mean that at 28 DSG is already past it.

Thurman would KO Khan, beat Matthysse, Peterson, Herrera, Holt, Judah, Theopane. There's no one on DSG's res that is better than Thurman. And Thurman would not have struggled with Morales.
