Comments Thread For: Danny Garcia: Thurman is My Fourth or Fifth Best Opponent

Angel Garcia proudly holds up a poster promoting his son's 147-pound title unification bout with Keith Thurman, and points to Thurman being on the left side of the poster, as favorite, or the so-called "A-side" fighter in the match-up. It's not viewed as a slight within the Garcia camp. The underdog role the "B-side" is one that Danny Garcia has come to embrace on the path to multiple world titles and a 33-0 professional record. It's tough to be a B-side when you've put together the rsum that Danny Garcia has in 10 years as a professional. But this fight provided the opportunity, and Angel Garcia insists that he wanted it that way.

He has fought overall better opposition. Thurman will fade around the 4th or 5th and not be able to move as much and its when Danny will begin to catch him. I see this fight similar to the Garcia vs Khan fight in that Thurman will try and box and move around, but will eventually stay in the pocket to long and Danny will start catching him.

Either way should be a great fight while it last.

The easy way...with gift decisions over Peterson and Herrera - rematched neither!

For Garcia's sake, this better just be trash talk. Thurman is easily the best and most dangerous opponent he has ever fought.

Exactly. There hasn't been an opponent who didn't mess Danny boy's face up. Thurman will catch him and hurt him.

Garcia has fought better opposition, but not at 147. Thurman is my favorite to win the fight.
