I wouldn't say he doesn't know anything about boxing. He's a lil more than a casual fan. He knows more about boxing than Max knows about Football, Basketball, Baseball, and other sports. Max has never worked a beat for any sport. I don't see people from other sports complaining about Max covering them. I've seen a couple of them questiona his qualification. Smith can get more people interested in boxing than Max can. I don't understand why boxing fans want to keep the sport a secret and don't want more people exposed to the sport.

I'm all for bringing more light to boxing and getting more fans. But when this guy talks boxing I just cringe, cause he doesn't really know much. Nobody wants to keep the sport secret, we just want people who are going to talk about the sport we love to at the very least know what the heck they are talking about. That's not asking a lot at all. I wouldn't call him anything more than a casual. So that makes it ok for them to talk about it, cause a lot of them are that way? No thanks. I'll stick to listening to people that know what they are talking about.
