The top two guys in a division should never need "tune ups". And as far as I'm concerned Canelo is a 160lber regardless if he's fighting at 155 or 164.5 or whatever the weight will be for Junior.

GBP is just padding their bank account or apparently staying financially afloat til some more names get made on their roster + letting GGG get older to make Canelo odds better in perhaps the most challenging fight of his career.

He had the chance to fight the best MW 2 different times last year and he ducked that fight 2 different times last year.
Could've fought the best MW in May but instead he's draining a guy who struggles to make 168lbs and has never won a big fight in his career.

An ATG wouldn't have went into that fight thinking he can outbox Floyd.
A smart fighter would've made an adjustment when it was clear he wasn't going to outbox Floyd.
Maidana isn't an ATG but he performed better vs Floyd than Canelo did.
