i've always felt that davey moore was moved along much to fast. he was fed to duran much too young. david reid also. i always expected him to have a short career because of his hand trouble. i think that may of been the reason why he fought trinidad in his 14th pro fight.

another one that springs to my mind almost immediately is that kid from brooklyn, malignaggi. he might suprise a few folk, but i wouldn't count on it.

i wonder what reid is doing now? i know he made some good money, and im sure he is finalcially set for life but i'd like to hear where he's at and hows he doing and what he think of his team-mates some failed to gain a world title some succeded as he did, and what he thinks about his career of course he was rushed but what does he think could of done different and what he thinks of todays fighters and what trinidads comback fights and such.

i know some may say why, who's reid? but some know, that when you follow a fighter from his first fight to his last, you always wonder what happened to him after boxing.

i still have his fight when he drilled the cuben and won by ko. the trainer that told him to go for the ko now, is taylors trainer, and he give great corner advice.

That would be a good story. Cuz I too wonder from time to time what he's up to. Alot of people critize his handlers for putting him in against Trinidad. I don't. I think it was a good idea to cash him out. Nobody knew how long his eye was going to hold up for. And he had not immpressed in his previous fights before Trinidad. The chance of a lesser fighter beating him were pretty good. If that would of happen, he would of never got the big money fight. So the Trinidad fight made sense.

i don't know if he's taylors trainer and i don't know if his name is ronnie shileds, but i have always respected the advice he gives to taylor in the corner.

i assume you are talking about jermain taylor, correct? his trainer was i believe pat burns.

i am about 50% sure ronnie shields trained david reid, but don't quote me on that.

thats true, he already had two surgerys and though he said it didn't bother him, his eye gave him problems in fights.

hbo was backing him up, much more then they are andrew ward. he looked good in some fights but struggled in a few too. the trindad fight he was actually winning the first part of the fight but then trinidad did what he had to do.

i remember seeing his comback fights on fox sports and he lost to some opponets that i didn't even know, he also lost to kirino garcia but was givin the decision, it was a crazy fight his balance his condition just really let him down in the garcia fight.

i remember they got a nutritionist to evalute him and he said reid needed to go jump in weight and he did and it was still the same situation, he had stamina prolbems especailly at the end and then his legs became weak later on in his boxing career.

the saying is that trinidad ruined him and that fight did damage him but their were signs before and rushing him didn't help either. this is why i think they are not rushing ward they are taking his career very slow.

maybe asina sensation can get an intereview, i know he is now a boxing writer, and i think the interview would be great with the right questions.

never thought about this comparision but may be right, but reid without a doubt already had better competition then malignaggi.

yes, isn't pat burns still training taylor? don't tell me we are going to see another fighter never develope into his style because a "new" trainer wants to change his style? taylor just needs to fix a few things, but nothing major, well that i remember....its been a while since i seen him fight. and i thought he had improved v. hopkins in their second fight and this proves he is just going to get better, after all, taylor is still a young fighter but with a great win over hopkins.
