That stoppage was just fine. He took his time getting up, still got up wobbly, then after telling the ref that he was fine he spit his bloody mouthpiece out. If I were a ref I'd probably stop a man with that kind of look in his eyes. It looked like he still wanted to go, but just couldn't convince the ref.

I thought Harrison was up 6-2 when it happened. I could be a round off. His ego lost that one for him. He started trying to show him his shots couldn't hurt him....and they did. He got away with it in the previous round and then goes right back into letting him hit him with that uppercut again. Didn't learn the lesson. Disappointed in Harrison because he was so damn slick.

Hurd was super poor on the front foot. He wasn't much better on the back foot either when it went there. Can't see him beating the other champs at the weight, they'll play with him for sure. And Harrison has one of the worst chins I've ever seen. He was getting hit by flicks and looked ready to go. He's up there with David Price for punch resistance.

He is but I think his stamina/legs betrayed him also imo.

yes it was. Seemed like the ref was confused and second guessing his initial reaction

That was one heck of a devastating right Hurd threw to score that knockdown.

I've known Tony Harrison was nothing but hype since 81 year old country music legend Willie Nelson knocked his ass out

I wonder if Hurd was purposely baiting Tony from the beginning. He didn't even throw his right until the 3rd round. Then around 7 he quit with the low left and dipping to his right.
