I don't care what the ranking bodies say. Diaz is better than Granados and that was proved in the ring. Not by some ranking bodies.
Becoming undisputed and fighting top contenders coincide with each other.

For example, Indongo beats Burns means he's a top contender, hence showdown with Crawford for undisputed crown. See how that works? You're confusing yourself. Letting them Duke it out to earn the shot makes more sense than rematching someone he's already beat. If Burns beats Indongo, ok he proved himself and earned the shot.

Diaz has nothing to do with becoming undisputed, he has done nothing to earn the fight and he's a nobody. Just another boogie man created by NSB because y'all always have to have something to ***** about.

Until the Burns/Indingo unification happens, there is no deserving contender. It's basically a throwaway fight in preparation for a more meaningful fight down the road.

    • Why can't they make a deal with Felix Diaz? Not a good look! Granados deserves a shot because he beat Amir Imam, but I would much rather see Felix Diaz! Where's Rances Barthelemy and Amir Imam?

      • That sucks. Felix Diaz deserves a big fight and his gritty but intelligent style could test Crawford in a new way. Granados is solid but I don't think he has the style or attributes to make it interesting against Crawford

          Lundy
          Postol
          Molina
          Granados

          That's not gonna cut it.

I never heard Crawford say that he's staying at 140. He called out Danny Garcia at 147. Maybe Indongo made it known that he didn't want none of Crawford because Crawford does not back down from a challenge. Mikey stated that he would like the Crawford fight so it's up to him and he don't have to wait a year. His frame can handle it. I also never heard him mention Easter's name and I don't blame him. Crawford fights anybody that Arum puts in his face and that's where the blame should be placed for Crawford not getting the fights people thinks he should.

            • Man i am glad Granados got another opportunity to prove himself. That Broner situation was just crazy with the weight change. I hope he wins this fight the guy deserves some good Luck... But if he loses this, he might just be the Gabriel Rosado of the Jr /welterweight division.

              • Maybe Diaz is being very greedy but Crawford will need to overpay his opponents as his ability level is far greater than his commercial value at present, similar to the position that Golovkin was in two or three years ago.

                • What's the update on this one? Is it Granados who just had a fight and would most likely take his time, or Felix Diaz who is all set and ready to fight?

I agree with Cobra on this one. Crawford will be basically fighting Broner's left overs if he pushed for this fight.

                    • 140 might be the worst division in boxing right now, Crawford doesn't have anyone to fight when he's going after guys like Granados and Felix Diaz.

Molina was bad enough. Two of his 140 defenses were against mediocre LW's in Lundy & Jean. Thank god he atleast got the Postol fight. But if his only big fight left at 140 is a rematch with Burns, then yuck.

He should be targeting Broner (the guy who beat Granados).
