    errr, Martinez ?

Martinez's reflexes were far superior to Canelo's. However, might also explain why Chavez got humiliated for 11 rounds.

But your right, Canelo's reflexes are good enough that Chavez will miss a lot, just like he did with Martinez. All Chavez can do is try get close to unload on the body as much as he can. Canelo doesn't have the foot-speed Martinez had, and plants his feet more. Should be quite a bit of trading to the body, where I'm guessing Chavez is assuming he has both the heavier hands and also greater durability to the body - so can win those exchanges.

Canelo's not just a body attack though - he mixes it up, so expect a few uppercuts and other flashy counters to land on Chavez, while any of Chavez' head-shots fly a mile wide. That will be the difference.

If Chavez derails the Canelo train and beats Canelo in May, do you guys think he fights GGG in September and takes advantage of the Canelo win to represent Mexico fighting GGG.

I would be so happy if Chavez ended up with a nice payday against GGG in September while Canelo is fighting in the T-mobile arena against Tim Bradley haha

If Canelo losses then GGG will cry himself to sleep because there goes the 15m offer. GGG won't even make HALF that much money fighting Chavez. And beating Chavez won't turn GGG into a superstar like beating Canelo would. Don't believe me ask Sergio and Fonfara both men who already beat Chavez and nothing changed in their lives Sergio still had to play the B side to Cotto despite beating Chavez first and Fonfara was fighting on Spike in front of small crowds after he beat Chavez.

Totally truth, but let's not put all the blame on GGG, Canelo could've fought GGG after Cotto.

Blame on both sides, Canelo and GGG need to win their upcoming fights, yes or yes.

Canelo is a better fighter then Sergio. Sergio was a different type of fighter far more athletic but had horrible fundamentals. Including terrible defense. Which is why once his knee problems robbed him of his speed he was a sitting duck with nothing to fall back on. But even before the knee problems Sergio was hit a lot and dropped many times even before the Cotto fight because he had really bad fundamentals dropping his hands, bad position with his feet ect. Canelo is more dynamic and skilled. Can beat you more ways. He's not fast on his feet but more then makes up for that with great upper body movement to slip punches (that's why despite not having fast feet he rarely get's hit and has never been down because he's almost never in a bad position). And he has more offensive tools. Can take you apart to the body, can light you up with combos, uppercuts. Where Sergio was more a single pot shot at a time type of fighter.

People who think Canelo will fight like Sergio fought Chavez are nuts. Sergio used tons of movement and pot shots. Canelo will use hand speed and counter punching to use Chavez aggression against him. Will light Chavez up on the way in. And once Chavez is close will slip Chavez's slow telegraph punches and blister him with combos and body shots. This fight will play out exactly like the Angulo fight with Chavez taking a beating and eventually he quits on his stool or his trainer risks his life refusing to throw the towel and lets him take abuse all 12 rounds. Chavez only chance is to put his head down come forward and hope that for every 5-10 shots he eats from Canelo he can land 1 and that one of those shots is big enough to dent Canelo's chin and hurt him.
