    Last week a press release was sent out indicating that an IBF light heavyweight final eliminator between Sullivan Barrera (18-1) and Artur Beterbiev (11-0) had been finalized for April 21st in Miami, Florida. However, Barrera denies receiving a contract for the fight and says that he is being lied to.

            Since you brought up Al Haymon, Marcus Browne who is managed by Al Haymon was ranked higher than Barrera by the IBF but he ducked Beasterbiev.

                You are right. Browne never even entertained the idea of facing Beterbiev although he was ranked higher than Barrera and the fight would have been easy to make (no purse bid needed in this case) since both Browne and Beterviev are managed by Al Haymon.

                Browne ducked Beterbiev and fought a gatekeeper with no defense and a suspect chin instead. A perfect opponent for Browne to look good coming off a loss.
