Honestly even I feel the same.. just because GGG doesn't have a strong resume, he should Canelo? Nah.. It's not even a legacy fight.. if GBP keeps on insisting on flat fee, K2 and GGG should move on and get him fights at 168 once he gets the WBO... except for good money there is no other incentive in fighting Canelo..

For me I find it strange, because any boxer with classic drama and negotiations bring up money. Meh, I consider him the best MW but it's not like he has that signature win. He's more the champ by default.



Jacobs is a great fight, but Canelo gave the belt up, it's not like he lost it. And it's not like he gave the belt up to go down a division. He fought Smith sure but now he's fighting above 160. It's not like he's too small for the weight.

The only issue I have with ranking Canelo high at MW is we've never seen him fight the full limit and don't really know how good he'll be. I watched the Sauders Lee/Eubank Jr fight and I'm not sure Canelo would beat him when he's on his game. I think Jr is gonna beat Canelo.

Fuck Canelo. Eubank Jr is the man GGG needs now, for both money and legacy. He has that prestigious IBO belt at SMW and sold 60k PPVs on ITV at 12 quid a pop.
