Comments Thread For: Hunter: Ward Mistreated By Media, HBO - Why Wouldn't He Retire?

Virgil Hunter love Dre like a father its evident. I completely agree with Hunter : Andre Ward has been a victim of unprofessional journalism pandering to these ignorant, jealous and insecure casual fans. Sergay Kovalev has only shown unsportsmanlike conduct whilst Andre Ward has taken all the criticism despite claiming victory in a classic heroic career defining performance that merits high praise, not this.

      Boxing needs Andre Ward.

Maybe so, but if the guy was mentally strong he wouldn't care what any media member says. Winning, like Mayweather would do, is the best trolling.

Ward is simply a crybaby the sport would forget about him in 2-3 years. Take the rematch or go away, the man gave him his shot and was a very close fight. Do the right thing Ward show some guts

I remember Floyd crying at press conferences. Boxers are only human, but because they are engage in such a savage sport their emotional state is undermined - disgraceful. I feel bad for Dre.

You force him out out of a weight class he doesn’t belong in
So full of ****. Hunter himself was saying 168 was impossible, even 175 isn't easy. What happened to HW champ by 31, can beat Klitschko?
