He would still be a hell of a fighter if he had only average power. He is a smart and highly skilled boxer with an educated left jab. He has one of the best amateur records in history. The computers have him one of the 3 or 4 best pro boxers in the world for punches landed compared to punches received. In other words he hits his opponents a lot and they don't land many punches on him. He is right up there with Ward and Loma in the hit and don't get hit department. His terrific punching power blinds some fans to his all around boxing skills.

His positioning and defense are vastly underrated. Lots of guys can hit, but they don't have his footwork, his ring cutting ability and mane other skills. He'd be exceptional without it, but it adds to his arsenal.Comment
