He would still be a hell of a fighter if he had only average power. He is a smart and highly skilled boxer with an educated left jab. He has one of the best amateur records in history. The computers have him one of the 3 or 4 best pro boxers in the world for punches landed compared to punches received. In other words he hits his opponents a lot and they don't land many punches on him. He is right up there with Ward and Loma in the hit and don't get hit department. His terrific punching power blinds some fans to his all around boxing skills.

If you weren't a hater you would call him GGG instead of Little G.

Do you guys honestly think Golovkin's power would carry over if he moved up to 168?

This a ****** analogy it's like saying Floyd Mayweather would be an average fighter without his defense skills. Or Sugar Leonard would be mediocre without his speed

His positioning and defense are vastly underrated. Lots of guys can hit, but they don't have his footwork, his ring cutting ability and mane other skills. He'd be exceptional without it, but it adds to his arsenal.

OP is right. Power punchers should be given their own division. Unfair advantage.

Whoever says that DKSAB. Golovkin is a complete fighter with no weaknesses, if he didn't have power he would be just as dominant, just with less stoppages.
