Oscar and Canelo are becoming easier and easier to dislike. ****ing hell, you'd swear Canelo was still undefeated, and they're avoiding threats and constructing his record to maintain his 0.
The fact that he's actually had a run in which he faced and defeated top notch competition on the spin (albeit with a measure of fortune) just makes it worse.
If Alvarez really has improved and really is one of the P4P best, let him face the baddest mother****ers in and around his weight class, and not enforce ridiculous 1/2lb Caneloweight catchweights.
**** me right in the ass, Oscar and Canelo are about as annoying as it comes.Comment

Quoting from the article: "De La Hoya contended Tuesday, however, that his offer to Golovkin was a combination of a guaranteed purse and pay-per-view revenue."
We will get an indication if this is true or not by the reaction of Golovkin's team. If they quickly challenge or refute that statement, that means De La Hoya is fudging the truth. If they remain silent, De La Hoya is probably telling the truth. We should know in a day or two. If that statement is false, I can't imagine Able Sanchez not complaining to anyone willing to listen to him.
Here we are going on for pages on end about a 15M flat fee only to find out Lil g HAS indeed been offered upside.
I bet the guarantee is a lot less than 15M doe.
And, I bet the split isn't 50/50...nor should it be.Comment

honestly GGG should take this fight even if it's 1 million.
his chances to win is just too great.
ODLH even with the lion share of the profits are taking way more of a gamble. they are going all in at like 15-20% odds.
Loeffler should gamble all in at 85% chance of winning. but he's a beta cuckold phaggot. so i dunno.Comment

Let's say it's a 65-35 split, which might actually be fair to both sides, but the split only kicks in after the first million buys! That's the f-n upside! It's why they offered a flat fee, with some possible incentives. Wake the hell up people!
Oscar - "Look, if they’re not happy with the deal, then it’s not on us. The deal is there. He would make the most money ever against Canelo and if you really want the fight, I mean, Canelo’s not running from nobody"
DLH (or anyone for that matter) can make any ridiculous claim they want & say the balls in Gennady's court! Until the specifics of the PPV split are agreed upon, there is no fight! No one is going to budge from their position until after they each fight & their bean counters can analyze the data. End of story.Comment

Who knows? One scenario that fits what has been reported is that GGG is guaranteed $10 million with a % split of PVV that Golden Boy estimates will generate another $5 million. The rub might be that it is based on an expected 1 million PPV buys by GB. Golovkin's team would probably consider that PPV estimate way high. The reality is that GGG is not a PPV draw and Canelo can draw big attendance numbers in Texas, but he has a PPV ceiling way below 1 million...just guessing here.Comment

Not a goddamn thing either side says matters in the least until their next fights are over. Then it's time to negotiate, and we'll see what happens.Comment
