Why do Golovkin fans keep repeating the nonsense that Martinez ducked Golovkin? Loeffler is on video saying Martinez never turned down Golovkin.

Some of the people on this board view things so one-sidedly, that its nauseating. Sure, he fought the "best that was willing to step in the ring with him," but why settle for that? Why not move up in weight to grab a bigger name? That's what all the REAL champions did. From Leonard to Mayweather, they all went up in weight after either dominating all their opposition in a particular weight class or not having enough opposition in a particular weight class.

With that being said, this is going to be an interesting fight. If the Danny Jacobs that beat down Peter Quillin shows up, it will be a great matchup.

I want Jacobs to win, but something tells me, given him being knocked down by MORA, that GGG will get the best of him.

      GGG TKO in RD10.

        Nice try.

Sturm couldn't even finish rising Super Featherweight DLH...
Martinez was 34 when he won his Lineal coming from Welter...
Rising Light Welterweight star Miguel Cotto, a bonafide ''small middleweight...''

Alvarez, ratio to ratio, the youngest from any of these potential matchups, is the last great A-side to tame Golovkin in his place. I don't know what Martinez, Sturm, or Cotto ''negotiated'' with K2, but it's a FACT that Alvarez (as well as the boxing world know) the purse bid fiasco from GBP and K2 along with the 15 million offer... What do the other ''duckers'' have in common with actual publicized offers. I don't recall Sturm, Cotto, or Martinez ever voicing or telling the public the scenario for a GGG matchup in any post ring interview.

''Canelo...right now he is nothing.'' - (Golovkin 2017)
          ''Canelo...he too big...'' - (Golovkin 2016)

It's quite obvious who has ducked the matchup between Alvarez vs GGG. We went through these theories pre May vs Pac. Why don't people catch on that Golovkin is no match for Alvarez for a reason. If boxing is solely on ''honor'' then Golovkin and K2 wouldn't care about ''fair'' splits nor would industry even respect the idea of ''boxing is a business.''

Excuses? Golovkin is like a 1/9 favourite.

You better hope so because if Jacobs lands one of those haymakers I wouldn't want to be you.

Interesting point > "his opponents were in the final part of their careers".

Is that true or did getting pounded on by Golovkin put them at the end of their careers?

                      Martinez old and injured
                      Sturm...never a top guy
Cotto...old welterweight who never weighed over 153.5 for a fight

No one in boxing is lamenting that those fights didn't happen. They are just names that NSB posters throw about. Beating those guys doesn't really change the current narrative for Trip resume.
