Comments Thread For: Hunter Says Canelo is Doing Golovkin Dirty With Flat Fee Offer

Virgil Hunter, who trains Andre Ward, Amir Khan, Andre Berto and several other boxers, has continued his criticism of Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs). Hunter worked the corner for Khan when he faced Canelo last May at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After Khan was knocked out in the sixth round and the fight was over, Hunter dared Canelo to fight middleweight king Gennady Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs).

how so?, he's offering his biggest pay day by far, 5 times what he's done in the past and he isn't going to make with anyone else.

Hunter should stick to training his fighters, and just say "No comment".

It's the biggest fight in boxing. Likely would sell a million PPVs. Even if GGG took 10 million guarantee with a percentage, he could probably make 20-25 million.

Hunter is saying what everybody with a brain in their head knows to be true.

Canelo is stalling and trying to avoid fighting GGG till he's over the hill, and he's hoping his fans are dumb enough to swallow his bullshit and blame Golovkin for the delay.

Same thing i said waiting for him to get old or get beaten. Jacobs winning would get Canelo off the hook.

If GGG believes he's worth more then Canelo's current offer, who are we to disagree? What's wrong with trying to negotiate the best deal you can possibly get? GGG doesn't have to jump simply because Canelo / GBP appear to finally be serious about making the fight.

Canelo might technically be the A side but he can't earn the credibility he needs or the paycheck he desires without facing GGG......

Miguel Rivera is trolling and such articles won't make his fight happen accordingly. So basically Miguel Rivera recounts May vs PAC because waiting past 40 million 5+ years and not citing blood testing shows that Miguel Rivera as a fake writer. Is he saying waiting is worth it so that Golovkin makes more? There were a handle of people that said PAC not taking 40 million plus no blood testing was ok whereas others complain he was out of his prime event though Floyd is older... therefore, article fail.

Why does Alvarez need Golovkin? If the fake writer is trying to justify that he is a draw that deserves a split, then why are these fighters obligated to fight is they can make money by tehir own attendance? Why does Gennady need Alvarez? He doesnt have a belt. GBP offered 15 million.

Golovkin is not Pac, and he is old.. this narrative is getting old too
