by David P. Greisman - Thomas Williams Jr. was damned because he did, and he would've been damned if he didn't. He actually would've been better off had he been hurt even worse. Williams was knocked down by a jab in the second round of his fight with light heavyweight prospect Marcus Browne this past Saturday in Cincinnati. I'm from Harlem so I was rooting for Browne. That being said Williams is a good fighter. He has serious flaws. But he's ballsy and honest and that's the most we can ask for as fans. He made some decisions that none of us have the right to judge. Light heavyweight isn't welterweight. These guys bang. Williams has a tendency to shoot from his hips and head hunt. If a fighter has the goods he can overcome Williams strong attributes. The foul was dirty AF though. But he chose to fight on as Griesman pointed out. Good fight for boxing. **** happens.

That was a hard punch thrown on a man already on the canvas. If Roy Jones Jr was disqualified against Montell Griffin, and Arthur Abraham was disqualified against Andre Dirrell, then Marcus Browne had to be disqualified, too.
