99% of the time, it was because they were asked about him. At least that was the case with Conor and Ronda. With Dana, he brought him up and criticized him so often because Floyd represented boxing (due to being its biggest star) and it was his way of putting the UFC over boxing as a sport.

I don't recall Floyd ever needing to bring up anything UFC. NSB never talked about such illustration until Conor said Floyd's name post Aldo victory.

Rousey always brought up Floyd. Her entire ESPY speech was about him.

            Correct.

Floyd is the biggest name in the combat sports galaxy.

Some boxing fans are dense as f#ck about what MMA actually is. MMA stands for MIXED martial arts for those unaware. Boxing is considered a martial art not unlike BJJ, wrestling, sambo, kickboxing, muay thai, etc & so on. Of course MMA guys are fans of & are gonna talk about boxing more than boxers are gonna be fans of & talk about MMA. MMA guys talk about all martial arts/combat sports. Floyd is just the biggest name in all of martial arts/combat sports so he gets bought up the most.

Probably due to his past with women.

Because his name = publicity, and attention which = revenue.

                  Simple.

UFC knows there is a large group of us hardcore boxing fans, who also have a respect for, and enjoy MMA. So by equating the biggest name in the history of boxing (financially), they draw the attention of more fans.

Before Conor, there was never really was an MMA fighter with enough star power, and big enough to be a huge "B" side (or more like an "A-, or B+ side like in the case of Pac/Floyd), and draw enough revenue for a fight between the two worlds to actually be a reality.

With Conor now, though, there is simply too much money on the table for this fight to pass up. Also with the fickleness of MMA, i.e. it's so easy to lose in MMA due to all the different styles, there isn't much time to "build the fight up." The time is perfectly ripe now after Conor won titles in two weight classes.

I would be highly surprised if this fight does not take place by the end of the year, or possibly spring/summer 2018. HIGHLY surprised.

That's the point we DGAF what it stands for. You're calling boxing fans sense because we're asking why those slave losers at UFC always talking about Floyd??
