I don't think he gained much muscle mass...if any...he just didn't have to make weight.

He basically ate and drank more.

I agree with what he's saying. I'd favour Brook more if the GGG fight hadn't happened..weight, eye etc. That said, i still favour him going into this fight.

I'm not too worried about Brook's eye socket giving out. He was cleared to fight by one of the UK's top specialists in that kind of injury.

I am worried about the weight issue though. When your own team tells you it's time to move up, you should listen to them.

His same team that thought it a good idea to move up 2 weight divisions, and get his face broken...Brook knows his body better than anyone else, and if he feels he can make 147, then that's what it is.

I think moving up for GGG was Kell's idea, and his team didn't try to talk him out of it because they know how hard he's been working to stay at WW.

The fact that they were OK about GGG at 160, but worried about Spence at 147 is significant, imo.

I don't think even Kell can use his weight as an excuse, he has been using a dietician since the second Carson fight.

He has always been a big WW shrinking down to make 147, on fight night he throws his opponents about, because he is stronger and bigger.

Against GGG he didnt have to make weight like you pointed out, so his team telling him to move up, are just saying that, because they think spence might be more of a dangerous opponent than his previous competition.

Trust me if he had another Jo Jo dan as the mandatory, his team wouldn't be telling him to move up.

It was definitely Hearns idea...he had to offer Brook the fight first, and Brook took it because of the $$$ involved.

Regardless, it was pretty short-sighted, and a bad position to put a fighter in...but brook was complaining about money, so he's not without blame either.

If he could've gotten a fight with anyone, besides spence, at 147, then the weight thing wouldn't be an issue.

I think it would have been. But he's fighting Spence anyway, and if Spence wins, he wins, whatever gets said about weight afterwards.
