No these fights do not tarnish his legacy. Everyone should understand that RJJ is like a decade past being totally shot.
At his prime RJJ was the best of his generation - better than Money IMO. Its just that he did not have good boxing fundamentals -- he was dominant only because he was the best athlete boxing has ever seen. So he had a short prime, once he lost a half-step, he fell FAST.
So that's why I can say that in his short prime, RJJ was the best, better than Money at his top -- whereas dudes like Money, Bhop, Finito had better careers because they had much better fundamentals once they lost that half step. Hell, BHop lost two or three full steps and was still on top of the game.
So no, these fights wont hurt his legacy, but they will hurt the amount of brain cells however.
