They all seem to have the exact same story where stevenson postures for a fight, goes missing in action within days of negotiations starting then resurfaces to "call them out" after they sign a contract/obligation vs someone else.

I highly doubt these guys held some secret meeting where they all recognized stevenson as the #1 threat and made a pact to portray him as a ******ed clown.

dude he's 2013 foty, lineal champ, long reigning champ....does 500k or more on showtime each time...does solid numbers for spike who pays to show his fights, and does canadian numbers...

he does good number at the venua as well..he's the A side to everyone at 175 except pascal and bute if were being honest

I agree this fight should take place. Now Joe has to prove himself. His win against Granpa Be-Hop doesn't say much other than top 10 worthy. The Fonfara fight showed him in troubled water very early and a desperate lucky punch saved him from getting embarrassed. The rest of his pedigree shows nothing to write about. I'd like to see him against Williams Jr or someone in the likes and see how it goes...

bhop ducked and went back to hbo to get canelo back over there..kov turned down a purse bid and his highest payday ever...he has beat 3 of the top 4 175lbers that he fought by ko..and dropped all of them...i think he is ducked based on wat the facts say...fonfara turned dwon the rematch based on money meaning he doesnt care for legacy and being lineal champ..and pascal also begged for 50-50 after just fightin on an undercard..i do not respect challngers that negotiate like champions..unless the champion has done some fraud crap to get his belt

I don't dispute the principle that usually a challenger shouldn't negotiate like a champion. But in the specific case of Pascal-Stevenson in the Montreal market, Pascal has a leg to stand on to be asking for a 50-50 or in that range based notably on drawing power. Pascal has been a draw in MTL since his 2008 fight with Froch for the vacant WBC super-middleweight belt. No doubt, Pascal is a polarizing figure in MTL but people respect the fact that is proved his willingness to take on all comers. On the other hand, Stevenson is also polarizing but people, for the most part, don't respect what he has done in the ring.
One last thing, Pascal is actually the reason why Adonis got to opportunity to fight Dawson for the belt: Pascal turned down the fight to fight Bute instead. Sure, he did it for more money but also to give the "people" what they wanted!

One last tangent. If Pascal fights Dawson in 2013 for the WBC and lineal and wins the fight, given how the events have unfolded since then, it isn't that far-fetched to think that Ward might be the undisputed 175 lbs champ at the moment!
