Few observers gave Joachim Alcine much of a chance to beat rising middleweight prospect David Lemieux, but the 35-year-old showed he can still box.

Alcine (33-2-1) used a strong finish to overtake the flagging 22-year-old Lemieux (25-2), post a majority decision victory and restore his credibility as a top fighter by winning the WBC International middleweight title after a rousing battle between Montreal fighters on Saturday night.

"I had a lot to prove," Alcine said. "Lemieux was much younger than me.

"I'm supposed to be the old man at 35, but I think I have 10 good years ahead of me."

Alcine won the WBA light middleweight title in 2007 but hasn't looked world class since he lost it in a sixth round knockout to Daniel Santos a year later. He had fought only four times since then, and his last two results were a loss and a draw.
Lemieux isn't world class in my book.

But I think he was quite green in that Alcine fight.

Lomachenko and Crawford are undisputable the best in their divion, but it doesnt mean the have all the belts. GGG is the
Undisputable ( defenition: without a doubt) the best middleweight in the world but does hold all the titles. U dont know **** about boxing and vocabulary either.

Loooool!!! You fail again! In boxing jargon undisputed champ is someone who has all the belts! Dude I'm so embarrassed for you.

Well lets use ur language, tell me if a current division where u have an undisputed champion that looks stacked. All the division that seem stacked are the ones with multiple champions 126, 130, 135 look alright, 147, 154, 168.
The divisions where u have a champion with multiple belts seem weak according to some 140 Crawford and 160 GGG.

Like I said, nobody thought the heavyweight division was weak in the Lennox-Tyson-Hollyfield era, and they had an undisputed heavyweight for years!

Nobody thought welterweight was weak when Zab Judah was undisputed or when Mayweather held three of the four available titles.

Nobody thought light heavyweight was weak when Benard Hopkins held 3 of the four available titles or now that Ward is holding 3 of the four available titles.

But everyone thinks that 160 is weak, for good reason.

Everyone? You mean a certain demographic?

Weak divisions are 140, 130, 122 and 168 right now. How is 160 weak with Jacobs, Canelo, GGG, Eubank, Saunders, Lemieux, Murata, Khurtszide, now with Charlo and whoever else comes up?

Is it because GGG already beat most of them. Stevens, Lemiux, Rubio, Wade, Monroe. Soon Jacobs, Go to the boxrec for the top 20 middleweights in the world. GGG already beat them. In the case of Manny or Floyd , did they beat most of the WWs? Garcia, Brook, Khan, Spence, Porter,Thurman.

                      WBA Super World Middleweight
                      IBF Middleweight

                      Canelo vs Cotto
                      WBC Middlweight

                      Andy Lee vs Saunders
                      WBO Middleweight

                      Quillin vs Jacobs
                      WBA World Middleweight

How is that not a stacked divion?

                      GGG
