You're only worth as much as someone's willing to pay you. It's that simple. Walters was offered an excellent purse of $500k and decided his 0 was worth more than that and turned it down, then Arum slapped him back down to reality and he ended up with $300k. Walters is the dumbest businessman I've seen in a while and there is some stiff competition for that status in this sport

Last I heard Salido wanted $500k and Bob Arum told him to ***-OFF! "That is CRAZY dont want the fight Money". Now just recently AFTER Loma got someone to fight for peanuts Bob is saying they gave into Salido's price??? That's coming from Mr. "Yesterday I was lying but today I'm telling the TRUTH" liar. I'm starting to wonder if Bob Arum did that to Walters on purpose?? I mean forcing Walters into semi retirement helped make Lomachenko look VERY good??? You think Arum would sacrifice Walters for Lomachenko??? I honestly don't think Loma cares who he fights. I think if he fought Easter they'd have to do it in Toledo.

I think Bob's best play is to make a deal with ODH for Loma to fight Berchelt after Sosa then go up since I doubt anyone else at 130 is going to fight him.

Bob's best play jumped out the window when Verdejo looked like azz in his last fight! Lomachenko vs. Mikey Garcia, or Terence Crawford vs. Mikey Garcia, are the best fights that Top Rank can make for 2017! Top Rank's superstars need Mikey Garcia for big money, that includes Lomachenko, Crawford, and Pacquiao! If Bob would let any one of those fight Garcia, especially Crawford or Pacquiao, we're talking PPV of the year (or 2nd best if GGG vs. Canelo happens).

The reason these frauds aren't stepping up to the table is because they're jealous of what Lomachenko makes. Lomachenko makes $850K and they think they should be making as much or slightly less because they have more pro experience. But that's not how life works.

The no.1 Draft pick in the NFL gets paid more than a 5 year veteran.

Life's not fair. Some people make more money than you. Suck it up and sign the contract and then maybe if you win you might see that type of money.

Salido is a living legend in my view, I just wonder if he'd prefer to sit on that Lomachenko win rather than risk it being erased in a rematch. I read that he's smart with his money and he's had a tough career so it's his right to be selective at this stage. It's just the Loma fan in me that badly wants to see how far he's come since that loss

Salido and lomanchenko were never bitter rivals so I don't think the win against lomanchenko is a signature win for him. I think the two wins vs Lopez in Puerto Rico are the highlights of his career and I think he cherishes them more.
But those two wins right there show the type of fighter Salido is.
He could of ran away with that first win and never looked back but he took the risk again and went to Puerto Rico for a second time and KO Lopez. That's why I say that if you throw enough money at Salido I'm sure he'll fight Loma again.
It's that punk Arum who's trying to lowball him and make it look like Salido is scared.
But hopefully we'll get that rematch soon. Loma has improved in the last two years so it definitely would be a great fight. And even if Loma wins the rematch, that first win over Loma will always be there. You can't erase a loss.

I totally agree with you! No reason why Salido should take less money for a rematch. Should be the other way around since Loma needs Salido, not the other way around.
But at the very least pay them both the same.
