Ya by fighting cab drivers lol, people talk **** about when Pacquaio fought Algeri and Vargas but those are world champs, even when Mayweather fought two time world champ Berto there was huge backlash, but this guy fought cab drivers for 90% of his career

Best I can tell it's not really hate it's more they consider him very overrated. Good but not as great as people say..... also I'm not really the spokesperson for black boxing fans just going by convos with family.

Chavez fought a number of great fighters in his time but he fought a lot of cab drivers too, he fought Lockridge, R. Mayweather, Rosario, Ramirez, Taylor,Camacho, Haugen, Whitaker, Randall, Dela Hoya and Kostya Tszyu, these were the good fighters he fought and out of these there were only 3 fighters that u can call great or A level and these were Dela Hoya, Kostya Tszyu and of course Pernell Whitaker and he lost to all of them, he also lost to Meldrick Taylor and Frankie Randall, his biggest win is probably Hector Camacho and Rosario, so he didn't really have the best of resumes and 100-0 wouldn't have been so impressive just like his 89-0 wasn't. His record in title fights is very impressive (31-4-2) but again the opposition has to be considered.
