Pacquiao turned down the fight over testing. Then When Pacquiao agreed to do testing Arum came up with loads of excuses about outdoor stadiums, needing 6 months for a cut to heal, not enough time to promote etc. Pacquiao ducked the fight, not Mayweather.
Can someone explain to me why Mayweather didnt chase Pacquiao like with McGregor?

mcgregor will be a fish out of water in a boxing ring, that's why. plus floyd would love nothing more than to beat a white american up.Comment

because Mayweather didnt want a prime Pacquiao?I keep seeing Floyd calling out Mcgregor, on Showtime even saying I have to give the fans what they want! you gotta listen tot he fans etc
uh the fans were drooling for that Pacquiao in his prime fight for years and you turned away from it.
Heck even when they wanted to negotiate again you decided you were going on a retirement, and then vacation.
I dont get it, why is he all of a sudden desperate and aggressive and willing to please the fans but when the fans wanted Pacquiao he didnt show this type of eagerness. He would come up with obstacles saying I dont want to work with Arum, I need a drug test, and when they agreed he kept repeating it over and over like they dindt agree.
Dana White actually hates Mayweathers guts, and is more difficult to work with, this is a more difficult situation since he has conor under contract, yet Arum was willing to work with Floyd for years, and Floyd kept saying its Arum huh? you got Dana white here from another sport who is a real obstacle yet you are willing to try your hardest to make this fight with conor but never did the same with Pac for 5 years.
Later ESPN asked him why not rematch Pacquiao to squash the shoulder excuse, instead of fighting McGregor and Floyd replied with its about fighting Smarter not harder.
wtf?
We all know this already.Comment

I think it's hard to fault the way Mayweather handled the Pacquiao fight. By making everybody wait so long he made an unbelievable amount of money. If he had fought Pacquiao years earlier would he have made that much money? I doubt it. The fight with McGregor is nothing like the Pacquiao fight. The whole world wanted to see Mayweather fight Pacquiao and most weren't sure who would win. Many fans, myself included don't give a damn about Mayweather fighting McGregor and consider the fight a joke, a mismatch and a circus. It's mostly MMA fans who think Conor can win. Most boxing fans don't give him a chance. Sure, the fight will make good money but nothing like Mayweather vs Pacquiao. Mayweather might as well call out McGregor now. The fight won't get bigger by waiting.Comment
