the fact the fight is not until late may is probably a good thing. it gives brook almost 9 months since the ggg fight to lose the muscle he put on and get back down to 147. we might get a better fight this way.

spence only wanted to finally step up early this year. that's the earliest his team wanted it to happen. and because brook has balls, spence only has to wait like 3 months longer than he intended to get his big fight. ggg has had to wait like a decade lol. hell even the ggg-brook fight you complain about was also a result of another middleweight avoiding him, this time eubank jr.

I think this is a good test for Spence. If Spence is as good as I think he is AND he reasonably durable, I expect a close fight till about the 7-8th round and then Spence's mechanics take over and he starts breaking Brook down.

And then we start getting some real visibility as to this kid's potential. I remain optimistic.
