i dont complain about floyd much although his stlye wasnt that entertaining. However, what ward does isnt just boring, its also illegal. Excessive clinching, low blows, headbutts, you name an illegal move and ward has most likely done it.Isn't boxing called the sweet science? "hit and not get hit"
so why when someone like ward or mayweather hit someone and they don't get countered, they call it running?
do you guys call it running because they do not fight YOUR fighter the way that YOU want them to?
its funny how all you douche bags act surprised when ward of mayweather fight like this, thats their style. you think ward was going to go out of his way and change his style for you ungrateful a$$holes and stand toe to toe with kovalev?? why would he change something that has never been broke? why would he change his whole style over night for you guys?
no one said sh-it like this about sweet pea or any other defensive fighter. why??? because there wasn't forums like this with sh-it heads like you who complain about everything back in the day.Comment

so for example if a fighter is hurt he shouldnt be able to hold to try to survive and come back?there's nothing wrong with hitting someone and moving away. there's nothing wrong with making someone miss and moving away. there is something wrong with grabbing your opponent so he can't hit you in return, holding and hitting, ducking below the waist etc...since those things are illegal. only problem is some ward/floyd fans confuse these illegal tactics with legit boxing. they even say these things are skills or great defense and then when people point out how they aren't even legal they label them haters.
if fighters can fight on the inside like ward can, why wouldht he use that? is it his fault some fighters like pac are amateurs and cant fight in the inside. other fighters like morales barrera can also who are slugger, even brandon rios can. as long as one arm is free they fight on the inside. if a person is to close to you and some one like mayweather moves away then he is running, if he holds to get a break then you all compain about holding. what you want is him to stand toe to toe which is not what he does and you guys get mad when he doesnt do that against YOUR fighter like i previously said.Comment

just say you don't care about the rules. its much shorter.so for example if a fighter is hurt he shouldnt be able to hold to try to survive and come back?

how was rios inside fighting when he fought richard abril who held him every single time he came close? pretty different huh? completely changed teh fight huh?
you mean if ward can get away with cheating why shouldn't he? thats the whole problem isn't it? he shouldn't be allowed to and even when he does you get comments like this that seem to praise his ability to cheat and get away with it.
when did i ever say anything about toe to toe? you automatically think 2 guys fighting under the rules and not holding is going toe to toe?Comment

No its called boxing. Sweet Science and hit dont get hit is just slogans etc people IN boxing made up to justify their style or teaching etc.Isn't boxing called the sweet science? "hit and not get hit"

The objective in boxing is to win so if you perfer to fight in that style and can win than more power to you if you rather be more offensive minded and can win in that style than more power to you aswell.
Its funny how dumb asses think that boxing from a distance is real boxing and inside boxing is bum shit lmfao it just proves to me who really appreciate boxing and those who only like the sport cause boxers they like just so happen to have that style (for the most part).
Its also funny how someone cant admit to that their "fighter" ran, im a big sergio mora fan and I called him a coward when he ran from mosley. Theirs controlling distance and maneuvering than theirs running, if you cant tell the difference than why are you even on a forum discussing boxing.Comment

dumb ass here just admit to accepting cheating when it comes to their fighter but try every clever way to not admit it in those words.just say you don't care about the rules. its much shorter.

The object of a fight is to hit and than to not be hit back.no, boxing was first started as a way to settle any dispute one might have with another person.
all that other terms such as "hit and not get hit", "the sweet science", are just terms used to describe a move a boxer does in there. kinda like in basketball, you can cross a mofo over, etc.Comment

haven't ur heard? ur supposed to let the incoming glove touch you as many times as possible, that way u wont be a coward and ull have "balls"Isn't boxing called the sweet science? "hit and not get hit"

Boxing, in general, is called that. But professional boxing exists for one reason and one reason alone: to entertain spectators.
If the people are not entertained, they're not going to put their money down for it. And if major networks choose to push fighters on fans that fans have made it clear they do not want to see, that is a problem.
People who pay for HBO have every right to complain when they put a boring fighter no one wants to see on. I am a fan of Klitschko, for example, but when HBO stopped showing his fights before he fought Haye, I thought that was a good thing. They'd pushed him, American fans never really responded to his style, so they stopped shelling out money for his fights. That's how it should be across the board.Comment
