So you can lose your chance at a title because the sanctioning body isn't satisfied with the bid? Maybe part of the problem is requiring such large minimum bids when the fight is only for a secondary title. In the end it all comes down to money for these sanctioning bodies.

Which is largely why the WBA has become less relevant over time. They're stuck in the 90's when you could get away with those numbers with a stacked PPV.

Reality has checked-in for Boxing.. There are too many sports to choose to be part of. The WBA needs to step-in and take action upon their own faults for creating this mess. Maybe a Saudi prince or a private venue display could work to sponsor this $1M event.

Why do we need to establish a single champion when the WBA doesn't have any heavyweight champions right now? You're literally creating a problem and then pretending that you're trying to solve it. Only in a sport as brain dead as boxing would the fans allow such racketeering.

Hope the fight will happen

There is a lot of people behind Briggs right now. I hope the fight go's through somehow because if Briggs wins he can generate money all the way around. Just having Briggs on a card is good for boxing because he's got a good comeback story and is a positive for the sport. We need all the positive attention we can get right now

I would watch this on free tv or off of a pirate feed, but I would NEVER pay for this through tickets or PPV. Just on principle alone I would boycott this for anything more than tip money(5 bucks or less).
