Ask any manager or promoter and they will tell you a flat fee is a bogus offer for a fight of this magnitude. Even Arum and Marquez and others know the offer is bogus and spoke out about it. No PPV with the kind of money involved has one side getting a flat fee. GGG's team countered with a percentage offer last year so if Canelo's team doesnt accept it, they are the ones being a Diva.

Interesting perspective. I suspect that Canelo/Jacobs would draw more PPV's then GGG/Jacobs because Canelo has a bigger fan base. I believe the Canelo/Smith fight drew 290,000 PPV's and few on this side of the Atlantic had heard of Liam Smith. If GGG has drawing power, the fight with Jacobs should exceed 290,000 PPV's because he is fighting in NYC against a hometown guy with knockout power and a great story to tell. We shall see.

I think people are delusional on how big this fight will be.
So what you're saying is they'd save money by offering upside instead of this 15m flat fee. So what's the problem, why won't they budge from this unprecedented demand?

Brandon Jacobs requests more money to fight GGG and the goons on BS say he's ducking.

GGG requests more money and the goons on here say his opponent is ducking.

This logic - it makes my head hurt ! XD

Hey mooseknuckle, nobody is talking about money I'm talking about PPV's. If you read what I said, I said neither Floyd or Manny were PPV stars until they got in with Oscar. The point you missed is all you Canelo fphucktards say GGG needs to take the 15 million because GGG is not a PPV star, well it takes two to tango...the point you missed about Floyd and Manny! GGG has sold out the O2, Madison Square Garden, Stub Hub Center, and he's from f******** KAZAKSTAN! But he doesn't deserve a bigger split, you too are a bonafide IMBECILE!

You mean Danny. You better believe Jacobs is getting ppv upside just like bums Khan and Chavez did vs Canelo. It's standard. So why do you suppose Canelo is insisting on no upside for a much bigger fight?

Golovkin's last PPV did 100k, a fight with Alvarez will likely do 600k-800k, yet Golovkin deserves a ppv cut? lol

There's no "bluff" to bother with; take the money, fulfill whatever obligations that come with the money, and hope to God that he 1)gets passed Jacobs and 2)the boil down to 160lbs doesn't finally harm his 35-year old body.
