Whatever anyone says Vlad is a huge step up from the likes of Gary Cornish and Charles Martin.

IMO Vlad has the advantage of experience, Joshua has never had to use dirty tactics and breaking the rhythm of a fighter.

Also I don't think Joshua has a good beard, he just doesn't look that composed under fire.

The main thing Joshua should be wary of is that left hook, it's a devastating shot that can catch him off guard. With his knockouts and momentum it would be easy to get carried away and leave himself open, Wlad probably can't do the catch and shoot hook that Whyte did but his sneaky lead hook is dangerous.

I'm fairly confident that Joshua stops him in 6 rounds, he may not be awkward like Fury but I still think he can make Wlad gunshy with his prescence and power in both hands, along with underrated handspeed. Wladimir was never the busiest of guys even in his peak anyway.

When he can have his opponent under control by leaning down and tying up, then he feels confident to let his hands go but against Joshua I don't think he will be able to clinch or lean down effectively because of Joshua's size and strength. Even if he could the ref might be more strict and deduct points like in the Jennings fight.

The inability to clinch and lean is a big factor I think. Wlad has no confidence in the pocket whatsoever. And in general he does not want to throw a power shot unless he's certain it will land. There's so much risk in Joshua that Wlad's hardwired risk aversion is bound to be an issue.

It's logical for Wlad to fight extremely negatively and hope that he can force Joshua to make mistakes. Let the crowd get restless and wait for their frustration to affect AJ.

I'm really split on this fight, mainly because we don't know how far gone Wlad is or how high Joshua's ceiling is. I could equally see Joshua showing Wlad too much respect and being hypnotised by his jab, and probably gassing badly in the later rounds, or Joshua just popping Wlad with a swift counter right over his jab and turning his legs to jelly

This is the Wladimir that must enter the ring on April 29.

Honestly WK happened because of the whole dull that was the HW division at that point.
