    total white judges 3
    total white refs 1
total matches hatton signed to hbo for 3
    total boston population white

total chance a brooklyn fighter in boston has of beating a white guy without knocking him out 0

    rematch definitely a must
so hatton will opt to fight ben rabah instead cause he thinks carlos maussa is a notable opponent

nah im sure they all love ny based PRs and celebrate puerto rican day and know more than 5 or so words in spanish and dont love white fighters in boston

boston was so far removed from manchester at all
ok its technically a different country but those judges didnt care about that theyd still go with england over pr as they obviously did with those ridiculous scores

which im not saying they are necessarily racist im saying hbo also had a vested interest in hatton and in a close fight the white guy was given the decision by white judges
if those judges werent white or hbo appointed i think they wouldve been more likely to have had correct scorecards

Man, how did Marvin Hagler get any of those decisions in Boston!!!

He must have really dominated for the judges to consider him the winner.

Punchstat numbers dont tell the whole story though.
I thought this was a difficult fight to score, but i thought the judges got it right and were close. i thought the scoring was very good, e****ially compared to some of the odd scorings of late.

Punchstats dont mean anything, you being in a boxing forum should know that. Its about who is more effective and lands the more effective shots throughout the larger portion of the fight. A lot of people felt Collazo was the more effective boxer throughout the fight. On top of that Collazo is a nobody. So he needs to prove that he is better than him with a very decisive win over him

True, its also about controlling rounds. for example, if i outland you 20-10 for 8 rounds but for 4 rounds you outland me 40-5, then i still should win the fight. (assuming no one gets hurt, kd'd or staggered.

See i think it takes more than out landing, what if im throwing nothing but show shiners or i cant hit u cleanly yet im outlanding u and u keep snapping my head back and landing flush then u should get the round because u were effective and I was not.
