his best win was against Demarco. Shouldve really used that outing to take his career to the next level, instead he fought Rees....

There was no one available. Broner at that time was at his peak. He would fight anybody. He felt invincible. I doubt he would say no to any guy they put in front of him. Maidana took his soul.

He is a hype, but smart hype. Knows how to make money, like Khan for example.

Yeah until he gets another belt and then tries to run around his hometown like he's the emperor of a nation. First thing they should've done is taken his @ss out of his hometown, same for Crawford. You can't be in touch with reality walking around being treated like the second coming of Christ from all the yes men and glad handers.

Agree. At the time, Demarco was well rated and Broner demolished him. It was probably the last time that Broner was taking his boxing and training seriously without self-created distractions.

Maidana changed trainers to Garcia a few fights before Broner and the Maidana that fought Broner (and later Mayweather) was different from the Maidana that fought Khan (just picking a random earlier example). So not sure what Maidana Broner expected to show up, but Maidana developed a lot under Garcia and I don't think Broner saw it coming. So while Broner seemed more concerned with singing with rappers during the training period and the ring-walk, Maidana was all business - rest is history.

And how did Golovkin get into this thread ????

Win 2 matches and he will be flushing down 20's again. Lose one, he be robbing a bowling alley attendant again.
