I think there is just no concrete plans at Haymon for Vanes - and a few others. As nobody ever speaks up or out who is there to refute whether his phone calls were going unanswered. Bad look! The boxers are the clients? Or its the other way round?

Vanes had his chances but it sounds he just wants activity more than anything else.9 months out for a contender with no sign of any upcoming fight is a lot of inactivity. Somebody put in a link for the Lubin negotiations.

That's how it goes with every promorter. You lose all the big fights and then turn down fights you get out on the shelf. They do speak up but the problem is it's only like 1or 2 boxers who have had a problem with Haymon which is nothing compared to Arum and gbp.

Looking back at it he should have taken that fight with Julian Williams. Who knows, maybe he beats him. Not one knew he was chinny.

Most recent loses are to Jarrett Hurd and Ishe Smith.

why would anybody want to watch this guy fight? what is the appeal?

no ethnic backing, bad style, doesn't have the speed or the power to move up in weight, barely distances himself in victory. all he's got is the experience it takes to go the distance with young up and comers.

WTF else are you other than a gatekeeper, vanes? you're still probably in your prime and you're a gatekeeper FFS.

just take B side money, stay on TV, and try and win your fights. an armenian guy with a style like that is lucky to be on TV to begin with.

parting with haymon looks like a dumb move. not privy to all information, obviously, but that's just how it looks from here. take the money while you can make it as a boxer. try and be smart with it. then take your health and do something else with your life. even if he wins a title he doesn't have the talent to hold onto it.

i don'tt hink williams is chinny necessarily. charlo packs a whallop, and williams killed himself to make 154 lbs. both he and charlo looked dead in the water when they weighed in. they're huge.
