The real question behind this is.. " why does this forum not like two black american fighters"?

Larry is just alot more delicate in how he approaches these topics than some others.

Thats the issue here. Its not because Wilder hasnt fought a top level opponent as the belt he carries determines he should, yet receives props from some on here like he's the HW messiah.

It isnt because Spence, whilst an extremely talented, visually fantastic fighter hasnt fought a top level opponent, but is lauded as the WW king of kings.

No..it's because they are black Americans. Every single one of us who dont agree that the above two fighters are better than their respective opponents past, present or future is a ****ing racist anti-american and we should be ashamed of ourselves.
and isnt that the truth of it ^ Green K sent, great post.

Spence and Wilder ate fighters in different stage of their career.
Spence is hyped a bit and it's warranted because you always hype exciting prospects/contenders in boxing.. spence has earned his shot and should get it..
Wilder gets hate because he has been sitting on his title since 2015 and hasn't stepped up since winning it.. which is a fair criticism..

Who are these people you are talking about??

Teddy Atlas is the only one I've seen and since then people on here are going on like there's others but there aren't.

As for Wilder, other than trolls like Kigali and Ihourrun, I don't see anyone really hyping him because honestly he sucks, he's had that belt for 2 years and has been facing prospect level competition, the minute he steps in with a quality opponent I expect him to get outclassed.

well he started boxing in his 20s he was really a project that just started to peak 2 years ago. I think now that the heavyweight division is heating up we should see some better fights. he was headed in a nice direction trying to fight that cheat but that was ruined. Washington is a decent fight. all the heavyweights worth mentioning are all just now establishing themselves which means bigger fights will come later 2017 and in 2018 hopefully.

                  That's not his fault.

AJ and Ortiz just fought Wilder's leftovers...so his comp can't be that bad.

I have Spence on my pound for pound list. The way I understand PFP it's not resume it's how good you THINK a particular boxer is. He doesn't have to have already beaten all these good fighters. That's resume. If you honestly think he is good enough you can but him on your list. I honestly think Spence can beat any welterweight. Wilder is a world champion and he should be defending his title against top contenders. He has fought unranked guys most of us never heard of time and time again. Fighting for a vacant title does mean something if the guys fighting for are among the best fighters in that weight class.
