Cotto is washed-up.....he's had his time...now it's the occasion to move on.

Cotto hasn't brought big fight sizzle to anything in a loong time.

One phone call to Cotto would sort this out you'd think. I really like both fights. I don't think Cotto will fight Brook.

I think brook vs spence seems like it might happen.

Negotiations with cotto take an average of 11 months, not one week

haha true story. And even after 11 months the odds are still about 70-30 that it falls apart...... lol

The fact is, that Brook wants the Cotto fight at 154, and they need time to negotiate that fight. Kell Brook is going vacate like a p*ssy, and fight the weakest shot fighters at 154 till he finally secures his payday against Amir Khan.
What you're saying doesn't make sense. If Brook was going to vacate his 147 title and fight Cotto, why would Hearn be asking the IBF for more time to negotiate with Spence?

What would he gain from doing that?

6 months, as a matter of fact. And Brook was only declared fit to fight again a week ago.

I dont know if Hearn is, or isnt doing what the TS alleges, but he certainly would have an incentive to keep the Spence option alive (and its 75-25 split) as a backup hedge if he couldnt get the Cotto fight made.

Because if he vacated the IBF, but then couldnt get the Cotto or the Khan fights made, then he's pretty much just sitting there with his pecker in his hand......

(and for the record if Hearn is doing that then he's wrong. Either fight or vacate. But dont mess around with someone elses career)
