Roy jones almost go KO in 5th round vs Glen Johnson

I absolutely love how the whole fight Steward keeps saying Johnson is fighting like an amateur by swarming Jones (as if that's a poor gameplan or some ****) and then he knocks Roy the **** out. Okay, Emmanuel, so admit Roy got knocked out by an amateur.

I can't stand these "experts" that get mad when the purist boxers get beat by "amateur" gameplans

actully he attempted to say that roy of now hasnt lost any skill or reflexes from prime roy.

Johnson was being amateur and it was only effective because Roy was factually undertrained and not what he once was.

** Well, reflexes had nothing to do with the bout. Johnson swarmed Tarver in the next bout and almost KOed him too, winning a decision. Johnson is a strong man and was well conditioned with the drive.

Roy just lacked the strength and desire to attempt to avoid Johnson. He probably signed the fight thinking of a stroll in the park and was surprised early at the strategy and figured Johnson would wear out. I did at first, but when I saw Roy wasn't fighting back I knew he was lost mentally.

I'd never seen Johnson fight before, so I don't know his style over all, but his last fight with Tarver, Johnson didn't appear to be in as good as shape and never swarmed Tarver and lost.
