I was just re-watching the fight, and in the 5th round and at 1:52 glen johnson hit roy jones with a straight right in the temple, the same exact spot he KOed him with and the same punch. He hit him, and I think Roy was knocked out for a lil bit because he was leaning on glen johnson and then when johnson moved jones almost fell down but he caught himself. Did anyone catch this or remeber ?
Roy jones almost go KO in 5th round vs Glen Johnson

I absolutely love how the whole fight Steward keeps saying Johnson is fighting like an amateur by swarming Jones (as if that's a poor gameplan or some ****) and then he knocks Roy the **** out. Okay, Emmanuel, so admit Roy got knocked out by an amateur.
I can't stand these "experts" that get mad when the purist boxers get beat by "amateur" gameplansComment

All right he is an expert, I'll give you that, but how can you call a guy amateurish for being effective?Comment

From an early standpoint, no one would have EVER thought that Glen Johnson (or anyone for that matter) could keep the blistering pace that he was setting. And I think Steward thought he would die out as well.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoAll right he is an expert, I'll give you that, but how can you call a guy amateurish for being effective?
We were wrong.Comment

Johnson was being amateur and it was only effective because Roy was factually undertrained and not what he once was.Comment
