I don't think he could mix it up with any top 5 guy. Good athlete, but all that wild stuff he does would be useless against the real contenders.

Degale doesn't have an easy night against anyone

Nah. DeGale out points him. If Quinlan was catching him then DeGale will. DeGale does have power and has shown it in previous fights, just didn't seem like it in the Jack fight because Jack is a unit at SM and that's why he's moved up. Easy fight for DeGale.

He'll probably defend that joke of a belt against Paul Smith on another PPV with David Price/Tom Dallas 2 as the co main event

I think Eubank Junior could beat Degale! Degale probably hits even lighter than Eubank.

But as a fighter, i am beginning to believe that Eubank's optimal weight class is 160! his frame actually looks very petite for a super middle-weight, at-least perceptually that's how it looks on TV! When he was inside of the ring, and even standing next to Andre Ward.

I'd pick DeGale to decision Eubank. On different planets in terms of boxing ability.

regardless of who might win, that matchup would be a HELL of a fight and i would pay to see it

in a perfect world, the next 2 fights:

Degale V groves in the summer - Degale wins
                  Eubanks V ******* saunders - Eubanks wins

Degale V eubanks end of the year

James seems to get a pass for switching off.

Tbh, he aint switching off. He does it in every fight. We hear about how he is as fit as anything which I'd say he probably is but he hasn't got a 12 round gas tank.

He also has that natural inclination to go to the ropes which Eubank Jr would like.

It's close fight - because Degale could find himself outlasted.

DeGale has shown power in about 2 fights ever, he's a slapper.

He's taken lots of punishment, never improved his stamina or defensive flaws. DeGale would land, but with zero impact and Jr's workrate would swamp him IMO.
