Top Rank has done a great job promoting Verdejo & has sold him as the next "superstar", but his actions show doubts..Till this day Verdejo has not fought a top quality opponent, NOT EVEN a ranked fighter among the top 10 yet with some of the B & C fighters he's had to somewhat struggle & has not impressed..Funny how Oscar Valdez, Lomachenko, Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk & Errol Spence jr are all from the same Olympic cycle as Verdejo yet most of these mentioned are already world champions(exept Spence jr, but he's already beaten top level opponents & an exworld champion) while Verdejo is still fighting tomato cans..

This kid has tremendous athleticism, but fights with the same pattern jab right hand, one jab, leaps in with a right hand, counters with a left hook,
Circle and does it all over again.

Unfortunately he isn't getting better his trainer doesn't cut it to me!!

Flanagan is the WEAKEST Champion currently at 135 IMO yeah I seen him fight a few times, look forward to the fight with Petr Petrov in April though would be a solid win for him if he beats Petrov

I forgot about Petrov. I don't know what Warren has planned, but Petrov makes Verdejo look slow.

the kid just came back off a long lay off, recovering from a motorcycle accident. and he is still young, give him a break. i do think he should switch trainers, def have not seen any improvements.
