GGG's resume is just as "great" and he's decimated all of his opponents. What is with the unjustified hype>? People act like Spence is already Floyd mayweather, it's a ****ing joke. Can you let the boy beat a solid contender?

Does teddy atlas smoke a lot of crack *******?Max kellerman talks about spence like he KO'd pacman and maywetaher on the same night. It's pure buffoonery. And then we have people running around saying guys like Brook are hyped. Lets have Spence master class a guy like Porter, then we'll talk.

Is this because they work for ESPN, an American based network. I just cannot find any logic behind bias like this.

Errol Spence Jr was the top American amateur coming out of the 2012 Olympic games, has shown that all of the skills more than translate so far as a top professional, and the insular boxing world has for years openly talked up the reality that Spence has been putting damage on established pros for years.

Golovkin has the pedigree from the Olympics, but Golovkin's been a pro fighter for a decade and he's only just now stepping in with a bonafide top-shelf middleweight fighter in their prime.

Errol Spence Jr is 4 years into his pro career, and he's on the cusp of heading to England to fight Kell Brook (arguably the top welterweight fighter currently in gloves).

It's easy (and justifiable) to jump on the bandwagon of a guy who is fearless, humble, and trying to prove himself by taking on all comers.

People got behind Brook as well when they 'thought' that he was that kind of guy, it's only after he started trying to cherry pick that people got frustrated and got on his back.

Spence called out Thurman before Thurman beat Porter and before Thurman even got handed the WBA scrap, but Thurman unequivocally stated his intention to duck Spence.

So Spence put his head down and worked towards earning his mandatory challenge to one of the champions, which in this case happens to be Kell Brook, he's doing this so that he gets two things:

1) A big name on his resume.

2) A belt to take to the negotiation table.

3) To expand his fanbase and to prove himself.

There is absolutely no reason to hate on Spence supporters. He is making the right moves for someone at this stage of his career so why wouldn't you support that?

I can understand ppl being tired of hype, but what the hell is there to NOT like about the kid? He doesn't brag about himself, but is willing to prove it in the ring. He's been calling out king kell (whom many people on this site have said is the best ww smoking right now, even though he's only beaten shawn porter) for damn near a year now, and is even willing to fight in kells backyard for his shot.

Because he shared the ring with Manny? What has Algieri done to be better than any of Golovkin's last 10 opponents? He has 1 highly questionable win over Ruslan and absolutely jack **** outside of that. Doesn't even have any solid wins.

You guys take the 'Golovkin fights bum' **** to a whole new stratosphere that even trying to take you seriously is impossible. Same thing with Wilder.
