Because he shared the ring with Manny? What has Algieri done to be better than any of Golovkin's last 10 opponents? He has 1 highly questionable win over Ruslan and absolutely jack **** outside of that. Doesn't even have any solid wins.

I love both Spence and GGG and I think the are both the very best in their respective weight classes. In my opinion Spence can beat any welterweight fighting today and GGG can beat any middleweight fighting today. You, like most fans confuse best pound for pound ratings with resume, It's not the same as resume at all. Resume is everything a boxer has ever done since the day he turned pro. In contrast, pound for pound best is how hard you think a boxer is to beat in his weight class right now, today. Resume is a boxer's past. Pound for pound is opinion based and can seldom be proven right or wrong. Pound for pound is how hard to beat you think a boxer is in his weight class right now today, not his resume which is his past. Pound for pound is about right now and a boxer's potential.
