Can Eubank give GGG his first loss?
Gennady Golovkin vs. Chris Eubank Jr.

Jr wins the war of attrition imo, styles and circumstances make fights.... I don't think he would be able to do what Golovkin has done to his opponents in recent years but purely head to head he has a great style to beat him.
Great uppercut, engine and toughness. Golovkin is rarely pushed to the limit but against Eubank he would need to be at his very best.Comment

Eubank's style averages about 40 clinches a bout. He bursts and then holds. Golovkin is gassing out more lately in these years chasing guys around in cutting the ring. When you hold, that takes away stamina from both guys, but Jr.'s work rate is optimized just for that. If Gennady pressures Jr. to the ropes, you can bet Jr. would jump on a clinch. This is hard for Golovkin to reset.Jr wins the war of attrition imo, styles and circumstances make fights.... Let's see how Jr. looks at 168. Let's see if his power is any different in explosiveness vs 160. Eubank Jr. is a very fit dude and lean and I have some theory that he's been pushing 160 too much. 168 might be where his power is. Froch and Haye have said that Eubank Jr. is the deal, and I'd say more accurately, above 160 workrate.Comment

Eubank has a zero chance of beating g string and that probably puts him at the top of team g strings agenda.Comment

He is a huge middleweight to be fair but I don't think he'll get more knockouts at 168, his first 8 fights were at super middleweight or at least above the 160 limit and he only had 3 knockouts. All his wins at 160 have been by knockout.Eubank's style averages about 40 clinches a bout. He bursts and then holds. But yeah if he was badly struggling at 160 he could be more explosive which is a scary thought. The thing is I think his style relies more on wearing fighters down so it could be more difficult against the very best at 168.Last edited by Caught Square; 02-03-2017, 01:15 PM.Comment

Can't be based on nothing more than a hunch at this stage.
I suspect he'd give him a tough night.Comment

zero chance. Dont see why people say eubank has a style to give ggg problems. From where im standing, its a guy with no defence versus a power puncher. Eubanks got a good chin but he cant just eat golovkins shots. Would be extremely one sided. Eubank isnt much good which is why saunders beat him, people get carried away with fighters looking good on punchbags etcComment
