The attendance for Kovalev's fights are even worse. Just check his Vegas fight against Mohameddi.

Guy, he was the bookies favorite, and wide favorite with boxing writers, most of whom thought he lost. That's not beating the odds. A rematch is not just nice, it's contractual. Or he could retire as threatened

I don't want to make it seem he was an underdog, you're correct that he was the betting favorite. I'm just saying odds were stacked against him as the man Moving up in weight taking on the current and dominant champion.

        • I couldn't care less if there is a rematch or not. The first fight had no rewatch value at all. To me rematches should be based on great fights and wanting to see more. Their fight was maybe a 5 out of 10. On top of that I don't like either of them.

          • how predictable. only 30 or so fights and in reality achieved what in terms of defending the so called "unified titles" niche, zip, zilcho, nothing! WHEN...he was clearly beaten by kovalev....said it before and say it again.
            what a wanker.

If he beats Kovalev again they'll just create more excuses
No one needed an excuse, Ward is a dirty ass fighter than does things that are illegal.

No one every argues if the things he does are illegal or not. They just claim he either doesn't do them or ignores it altogether.

But no doubt most people have eyes, they know it's true.

Can't compare any Vegas fight to Ward fighting in his home city of Oakland. If Ward can't sell out in his own state, wtf.

Canelo v Khan didn't sell out easy in Vegas and Canelo did 50k in Texas.

              • Honestly, I hope he retires

Kov clearly won the first fight, Ward should retire. Kov just collect them straps again and forget about Ward and his dirty azz head butting, head swinging, arm grabbing, tackling mother ****ers to hang on for dear life azz boxing.

Ward has better attendance figures than Kovalev. Fact.

                    • I think Ward will fight the rematch, he is a very smart guy and its unfinished business I dont think he could live with himself in the long term.

Ward is a champion I dont think he will walk away.
