If Ward thinks his legacy is sealed and there's nothing more he could possibly do- then he's delusional.

But I think he is actually a bit delusional, seems like an egomaniac. He might as well retire I suppose. He's not going to make the right fights if he doesn't in my estimation.

At least Mayweather silenced his critics with a rematch with Castillo. This guy thinks if he retires he'll be remembered as a great because he has an 0. I do hope he retires, though, he's the most boring and pretentious boxer that has ever lived. Think Khan's delusion times a hundred and you're not even close to how deluded Ward is.[/QUOTE]
Lmao if only this was true. All it did was make the haters point to the first fight and say he should've lost that and discredited him for a rematch that happened within the same year, despite the injury!

Ward will fight Kov again and it will be another close fight! Looking forward to SOG's next gear and also Kov's "next level ass whooping" he alluded to for the rematch!

Ward and Kov gets my immediate respect for facing each other while people are moaning over the smallest of things!

If Ward retires then Kovalev will be fighting Beterbiev/Barrera for the IBF, which would be awesome, particularly if it's Beterbiev

Light Heavyweight is full of great options right now so I wouldn't sweat it too much if I were Kovalev. If he rewins the IBF maybe Main Events and GYM can finally find some way to make the Stevenson fight happen. He could still go down as an ATG Light Heavyweight. The opponents are there

Mayweather rematched Castillo and Maidana and proved he deserved the decision (although I thought the first maidana fight was as clear as delight that Floyd put a whooping on that ass).

Truth is, neither of you two deserved the decision that night. The judges should have scored it a draw because it was inconclusive AF. Do the rematch and win more convincingly, then you can retire or duck Stevenson (everybody seems to think it's okay to duck him for some reason).
True. People can say what they want about Mayweather but he is a genius in the ring and is one of the ATGs in the sport.

He's obviously going to fight Kovalev. Ward is a dog. He won't be satisfied with all the whining about his victory.

Just retire if you're gonna be a little b*tch about honoring the rematch clause with Kovalev. If Ward fights Kovalev again, i'd root for him, and I think he'd win. But he's acting scared right now, even though his resume shows otherwise (about him being a p*ssy). It still makes him look bad to not honor a rematch clause, like the guy in my sig not honoring our bet.

Kovalev/Beterbiev isn't that big of a fight. He really would be screwed b/c he couldn't even become Stevenson's mando. Stevenson hasn't fought a mando for so long, that's he already got 2 waiting for him with the winner of Bute/Alvarez and Gvozdyk.

All that hard work of unifying a division down the drain b/c of a ****-wad like Ward.

i hope he honors the rematch clause. even though i thought ward lost the first, i think ward wins the rematch. but on the other hand i also want him to retire and take khan with him to the crazy house.

Kessler and Froch and a win over Kovalev regarded by most fans and journalists as a loss (so not a controversial "split" decision) is a razor thin legacy .

People sht on Calzaghe's legacy, but the welsh has wins over an undefeated Kessler, but also Eubank father and a SD over a still live Hopkins.

                      Not worse huh?

I respect Ward skills and courage but dude has been vastly overrated, proof being how he was supposed to school the euro bum Kovalev.

At least Calslappy made a record of 21 defenses so he has a much more solid legacy than Ward (is that really debatable?).

And Calslappy is labeled as an overrated bum by Ward's fan...
Good post ....Calzaghe would have stood Ward on his head .......period!
