Comments Thread For: An Interesting Thursday Night in Boxing

By Cliff Rold - Over the past two years, the volume of boxing on the air has made for plenty of nights that can come, go, and be forgotten altogether without much consequence. That's a natural byproduct of more. Every game doesn't really matter in an NFL season. Every pitch isn't pivotal during baseball's September stretch drive. Most of the basketball season is a framing device for an NBA playoff stretch that lasts months.

Cliff, you didn't mention the Ugas-Wolf fight. That was a decent card filler. Three evenly matched bouts with all 6 fighters eager to bring it. Contrast with the Ortiz bout in December.

Very good card. I wasn't expecting much from the undercard but I was pleasantly surprised, they were all competitive and entertaing. I also figured Collazo would be faded, I felt Vasquez was winning but got caught one too many with clean power shots from Luis. I like Sammy but he hasn't looked like himself the past two fights.

Palazzo was fighting a big guy and still had a little trouble no way he beats any of the elite of the division and I think Carl was exposed for what he is as well as just a good club fighter... overall a good card... the 10 Round bout w/the Cuban winning the split decision the 1 female judges scored it 99-90, meaning she gave him ,after the point deduction for the low blows, she gavehim every round... kind of judging you they have in Mississippi???? She needs to go out 2 Vegas w/a few of other female judges out there ..she's right on track w/them ..
