Comments Thread For: Luis Collazo Calls Out Shawn Porter After KO of Sammy Vasquez

Luis Collazo didn't waste any time in trying to line up his next fight. Collazo called out fellow former welterweight champion Shawn Porter in the ring following his nationally televised, sixth-round knockout of Sammy Vasquez on Thursday night in Robinsonville, Mississippi.

Luis and his seven losses stealing the lime light from Verdejo. If I was PR... I'll be PR for today and drink to a good win. I'll watch that mismatch tomorrow, but I don't expect much.

I`d rather see Collazo - Berto 2 first.

Collazo hits hard. He shows it even when he losses.

I like Collazo but he can not handle top guys. He has that huge shot and if he surprises opponent he wins by brutal KO ( Ortiz, Vasquez). But Khan was far too fast for him, Thurman could take his punches..

No thanks. Trash fight and a step back in my opinion for Porter. Not that him wanting to fight Berto was really any better

Thing is, Vasquez was never that good to begin with. Ortiz was long-shot.

Khan schooled him and Thurman beat his ass before getting hit with a bodyshot. My biggest problem in boxing is the lack of body work. It's a lost art. Given up in favour of pot shots.

Collazo vs Berto or Porter would be good to make next if those guys don't mix it up with each other next.

But Collazo is that guy who tests these young boxers both physically and mentally so I really wish that he would fight a guy like Frankie Gomez next to see if he has the heart to fight a guy like Collazo.

                  Wishful thinking unfortunately

Either fight for Porter would be fun to watch, but as stated, a step backward. However, Porter's style meshes well with Collazo's. Here is Luis calling him out, he obviously thinks he'll win.

I see a good action fight between these two. Maybe enough hardcores see this as well, and the buzz could extend just a fraction beyond the community. Promote it some and this could get good numbers. Make it so!
