Comments Thread For: Lomachenko to Fight Jason Sosa on April 8 Near Washington, D.C.

Several potential opponents said they would fight Vasyl Lomachenko, but turned down the opportunity because they wanted more money.

Jason Sosa wasn’t about to price himself out of what he considers the opportunity of a lifetime. Sosa confirmed to BoxingScene.com on Wednesday night that he has agreed to challenge Lomachenko in a 130-pound championship unification fight April 8 in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

I'm happy for Sosa. Sosa is a good kid. Did everything the right way. Not his fault the judges gave him a draw against Walters. But he took advantage of his opportunities and beat Fortuna and Smith. Happy to see him get this opportunity.

pretty **** fight but guess lomas not going to be able to fight killers every single fight. Saying that sosa is still world level, just wont cause much of a problem

I thought Sosa was kinda fluke after he beat Fortuna. But then I saw him dominate Stephen Smith and concluded he's definitely legit.

I like Sosa, he's tough and all heart. However, i do feel his style is tailor made for Lomachenko.
