  • Will Spence get credit if he beats Brook?

Keep seeing people ask if Brook will get credit if he beats Spence. Hell yea he would. This is a 50/50 fight on paper. Spence has looked like the real deal against the level of competition he's faced. Meaning he's dominating guys he's supposed to dominate.

But I'm already starting to see excuses for Brook.

    He'll be drained at 147
    His eye isn't fully healed
    GGG took his soul

Does Spence get credit if he beats Brook?

Spence fan here but its not a big deal, I always thought Brook is trash been rocked by that euro that KO Hatton, whooped on by a C level journeyman in Carson Jones ducked half the welterweight division -- even the good ones from years ago that are no longer active...yeah hes trash. I hope Khan ends him but hes ducking that fight also...horrible fighter.

There are people who dislike Spence, don't rate Brook. No doubt they would play down the value of Spence beating Brook even though Brook is #3 in the division on merit.

But I'd say Spence has more fans here than Brook does and therefore more likely to have people make excuses for him if he loses a close/disputed decision.

Less credit after Brook jumped up two weight divisions and got his head caved in.

It is a difficult one. But boxing is all about momentum. By definition Brook has none at the minute since he is coming of a loss albeit one where he did quite well but sustained a serious injury.

There are a lot issues that could be used as either valid concerns if you're Brook fan or excuses if you're not.

It would still be a good fight though even if Brook was tight at the weight.

Brook made the decision to get his head bashed in by GGG for the money when he had plenty of available fights at WW. That decision shouldn't be held against Spence if Spence were to defeat Brook.

                He will in my book.
Brook has been labelled a bit of a fraud/overrated by many on here over the years, but i've always thought he was an excellent fighter.

It would be though let's be honest.

I am sure Spence's handlers would prefer it didn't happen if he is going to be a superstar.
